For All Luxury Train Journeys – Curated by Royal Rail Journeys under White Pigeon Holidays

We believe in complete transparency and ease when it comes to payments. This Master Payment Policy applies to all luxury train journeys booked through Royal Rail Journeys (Palace on Wheels, Maharajas Express, Golden Chariot, Deccan Odyssey, Buddhist Circuit Tourist Train, and future offerings). Train-specific payment nuances are provided on each train’s dedicated Terms page, please refer to them accordingly .

General Payment Guidelines

How do I confirm my booking?
To secure your reservation, a deposit (typically 20–25% of the total value) is required at the time of confirmation. The balance payment must be completed as per the schedule mentioned on the specific train’s Terms page (usually 45–60 days prior to departure). For bookings made within 59 days of departure, full 100% payment may be required upfront.

 

What payment methods are accepted?
We accept all major debit and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and more) as well as secure bank transfers. All payments should be made in the name of White Pigeon Holidays . All relevant bank charges and the prevailing exchange rate on the date of transaction must be borne by the guest.

 

Important Note on Passenger Details
Accurate names, latest passport details (for international guests), and identity proof (for Indian nationals) must be provided at the time of booking. Name or date changes are subject to approval, availability, and the specific train’s policy.

Balance Payment & Late Bookings

When is the balance payment due?
The remaining balance must be paid by the deadline specified for each train (generally 60 days prior to departure). If a booking is made 59 days or less prior to departure, full 100% payment is required at the time of booking.

 

Payment Security & Confirmation
All transactions are processed through secure payment gateways. Once payment is received and verified, you will receive a confirmation email with your booking details, journey documents, and next steps.
